If you are emptying out your office or the department is emptying out the breakroom, please do not put knives, forks or broken glass directly into the trash bags. Sharp utensils and glass should be placed into an appropriate size boxed, sealed and then placed into the trash. The box can also be set aside of the trash if its to large to fit. Please label the box with “sharp objects” or “broken glass”.
Also we are asking NOT to overload the trash bags. This is in response to a grounds employee almost getting cut with a steak knife sticking out of a bag, with the bag almost breaking because of the amount of trash in the bag.
Please also do not put batteries or old chemicals in the trash, we need to dispose of them by proper means!!
